The quintessential layer for all high output aerobic activity, the Black Spider Hoody is crafted from Polartec® High Efficiency Power Dry® fabric for superior performance. Functional in a wide variety of conditions, this piece will keep you warm during spring and fall rock climbing sessions and will quickly become a key piece of your system during fast and light winter excursions. For the many who run too hot to wear heavy layers when active, the Black Spider Hoody is the solution to this problem.

ABOUT NW ALPINE

Founded in 2010 by Bill Amos, NW Alpine began with the idea that apparel for alpine climbing should fulfill the technical needs of modern alpine climbers. Drawing from the amazing talent pool around the Portland, Oregon apparel industry, we built a team of professionals who have helped us fulfill that mission.

Bill enjoys climbing and has managed to flail his way up various first ascents and significant repeats in the Northwest and beyond (including the first ascent of The Deer Hunter, the first modern mixed route in the Columbia River Gorge). He is also a passionate student of economics and thinks American manufacturing is awesome.

Who is OUR TRIBE?

The Tribe is a passionate community of devoted climbers, intuitive designers, and local textile-industry experts. We are men and women who care about feeling connected to our products in a way that is only possible by making them locally. Together, we conceptualize, test, and produce apparel that is truly made by and for climbers.
